live/work Study House I

I came home one day after work to find a simple parti sketch my partner Geof had left on my desk. He had the idea of a study house for me to work on - an investigation of sorts for when we actually design and buildour first house. The project is in two parts. The first being a study for an infill house that would serve our domestic needs, but also allow us the flexibility of having a studio and workshop space adjacent to the living spaces. The direction of the design is simple -two volumes, dedicated to live and work respectively and joined by a private courtyard space. This study is on-going, and more details are to come.
